2011 will be the 400th anniversary of the birth of the wonderful Sir Thomas Urquhart of Cromarty - Episcopalian laird, Royalist soldier in the Civil Wars,  mathematician, biographer, translator of the bawdy novels of Rabelais and - of course - direct descendant of Adam and Eve!

Various Cromarty groups are making plans to celebrate the anniversary, and what the History Society is planning is the commissioning and publishing of a children's book on the life and times of Sir Thomas. Watch this space for progress reports.
