The Black Isle's very own literary festival takes place again in Cromarty this year on 9th to 11th September. The Festival is based in the Old Brewery, but will spread out to other venues in the town. With a focus on the 400th anniversary of Sir Thomas Urquhart of Cromarty, one of the speakers is Cromarty History Society member Jane Verburg. Jane will talk about her children's book on Sir Thomas, 'Squaring the Circle', which was commissioned and is published by our Society.
