There will be two public lectures held next week in Dingwall concerning Viking and Norse thing sites (Dingwall itself being our only HIghland example):

27th September, Professor Barbara Crawford will give a general lecture on Norse Thing sites, throughout the North Atlantic, including, of course, the Northern Isles and Easter Ross.

28th September,  David and Sandra MacDonald of Dingwall History Society and Dr. Oliver O'Grady will share initial findings on the recent geophysical and archival investigations of the proposed Thing Site and associated mound in Dingwall.

The lectures take place at 7.30 pm at Tulloch Castle in Dingwall on both evenings.
