2011 marked the 400th anniversary of the birth of Sir Thomas Urquhart of Cromarty - writer, translator and Civil War soldier on the Royalist side. And with only two days to go before the end of his anniversary year, he has been presented with a book of essays in his honour. The book, edited by History Society member Sandy Thomson and published by Cromarty Arts Trust, contains ten essays based on papers given to the Sir Thomas Urquhart Conference back in April 2011.
