We've several events coming up in the next couple of weeks that promise to be really interesting - and useful too!
The first is a talk by Forestry Commission Scotland Archaeologist Matt Richie on Monday 28 January at 19.30 in Dingwall Community Centre. He'll be giving a whistle stop tour of the archaeology of Scotland's forest estate that will include late Neotlihic four poster stone circles, Iron Age duns and vitrified forts, medieval mottes and 18th century military bridges. Generously he will also be giving away copies of the publication on which his talk is based.
On Wednesday 30 January you'll be able to learn about using heritage databases, such as the Historic Environment Record and RCAHMS Canmore, with Susan Kruse at the Cornerstone Cafe in Evanton at 19.00
And on Saturday 2 February Lynne McKeggie will be holding the first of four workshops on Ancient Crafts in Dingwall Community Centre from 10.30 to 15.30.
