The Baby in the Biscuit Box
The Society kicks off its winter programme of monthly talks at 7.30pm on Thursday 19th September at Cromarty West Church Hall with a fascinating account from Norman Newton of a tragic series of events from 1882, using local records in Nairn, Ardersier and Inverness to explore a sad case of an unwanted pregnancy, exploitation of farm workers, media ethics and the justice system.
Norman is a very experienced writer and Highland historian who is also a Director of Groam House Museum where he is responsible for their publications.
